What a busy week we have had!
We started off art by painting with kool-aid paint. Smelling each one to see if we could figure out which scent it was. Then we used bubble wrap under paper, using crayons to draw, seeing the difference it made from drawing on a smooth surface.
In the sensory table, using water, to pour and fill containers, we used our sense of touch to feel the water and sense of sight to see where we were pouring.
By request, we had play dough back out. Using their hands for pre-writing activities strengthens those fine motor skills.
Using all five of our senses, we tried a marshmallow. Describing how it felt, tasted, sounded when eating, looked, and smelled.
In the science center we had different cards that had different textures to feel, from smooth to rough.
Next week: Farm week!
