May 19-23 Bubbles and Popsicles

 Last week of Preschool ! 

In the Art center we painted with bubbles.  We blew bubbles that we colored with food coloring and blew onto white paper. 

In the math/ Manipulatives center we had popsicles with numbers and dots that you matched.

Writing center we had paper, envelopes and markers.

The dramatic play area had their play food  

We sang songs about a turtle named Tiny Tim and we sang their favorites.  We read stories about the end of Preschool and about Summer camp.

We also went out on the courtyard and blew bubbles with different bubble toys. We also had yummy popsicles.

We had a wonderful year!! We hope you all have a wonderful summer!! We look forward to seeing you  back this summer in summer camp or next year in the turtles classroom 😀 

May 12-16 Theme Bugs/Insects

 In the Art center we used paint and circles to create caterpillars.We also used baggies and different colors of tissue paper to make butterflies. 

In the sensory table we had dirt, bugs, and bug catchers.

In the math/Manipulatives center we had a bug matching game and a ladybug puzzle. 

In our Writing  center we had bug stickers and bug stencils.

Our Dramatic play center was our bug lab. We had bug matching, different bug pictures, bug stuffed animals and more.

In our science center we had butterfly sensory bottles one for each stage.

We are looking forward to our Bubble/Popsicles week but, not to saying goodbye!! 

May 5-9 Theme Flowers/gardens

 This week we talked about flowers and gardens.

In the Art center this week we made our Mother's day projects. We painted our hands and planted flower seeds.💐

In the sensory table we had potting soil, flower pots, and silk flowers to plant.

In our math center we had flower beads and pipecleaners to make bracelets. 

In the writing center we had tracing papers and foam flowers to decorate and flower stickers.

In the dramatic play center we had silk flowers, flower buckets, flower foam, water cans and keyboards and phones to take flower orders.

We had a visitor this week on Wednesday.  One of little girls has a pet bird named "Mango" her mom brought the bird in to show the class.  The children all loved it!!🦜

We also had our last chaple of the school year!

Next week we will be discussing bugs!🦋🐛🐜
