March 17 -21 Our theme was The Zoo

 This week in class we talked about thr Zoo. We discussed what kind of animals live at the zoo.

In our sensory table we were able to feed 🥜  to an elephant, 🐛 to a bat, and banana 🍌 to a monkey.

In our math center we were able to practice lasing with different animals.  We also had animal puzzle.

We had different things in the writing center to practice writing and drawing with.

In our block center we had a play zoo with animals and a train. Always have to take a ride on the train at the zoo.

Our Dramatic play area became our concession stand with ice cream, popcorn 🍿, and hotdogs. 

For art we made a polar bear with puffy paint.We also made an animal skin/fur collage. They also got to create their own animal and name it.

We also had music this week with Ms.Gwyn. They also enjoyed being outside.

March 10-14 Frogs/Pond

 This week we talked about frogs and the pond. We discussed what lives in a pond.

In our sensory table we had frogs, and lily pads and water. The frogs had numbers on them to match.

In our art center we stamped with frogs and turtles. We also used our fine motor skills and tore green paper to glue on turtles. 

In our math center we had a fishing game.

Our dramatic play became a pond with fish, frogs, and ducks. We also had some camping chairs to sit by the pond 

Writing area had some fish papers to trace. 

We had chapel this week where, we learned about prophets and sang about them.

We also got to play outside on the playground and courtyard. They love playing outside.

Next week's theme is the Zoo!

Dr. Seuss March 3-7/25

 What a wonderful week we have had!

For art we practiced our scissor skills and cut white paper to put on red paper, to make hats.

We also marble painted fish cut outs!

In the block area we added red cups to stack with.

For math  we color sorted fish counters!

In the sensory table, our friends thought it was hilarious to sort socks into different bins.

In the kitchen we made  up green eggs and ham.

A favorite this week was discovering the stencils in the writing center.
