Sharing Feasts! 11-25-26/24

 Our friends enjoyed making snack mix with our beginnings friends and having snack with them!

We also got extra time in the gym.

Thanksgiving! 11/18-22/24

What a fantastic week we had exploring and talking about Thanksgiving!

In art we painted with feathers and made turkey tracks with chenille stems.

The sensory table was a favorite this week. We had feathers and colanders. Using muscles in our hands and arms we pushed the feathers through the holes and then pulled them out when we were done. 

In science we got to explore real turkey feathers!

We had kindermusic with Mrs. Gwyn. We learned a 1,2,3 ,stop rhythm. 

Our friends enjoyed talking about what they were going to eat for Thanksgiving. Lots of brownies and pies were discussed. 

Next week: Sharing feasts ( we will be combining with the beginnings class to have a special snack).

Ages and Stages! 11-11-15/24

 What a wonderful week we have had!

For art we made baby doll or stuffed animal blankets by tye dying them! Using fine motor skills to get those fingers going, pushing down on the bottles to get it to spray the color the friends chose.

Then we used q-tips to make "family" trees. 

In the science center we added scales, one to compare weight on each side and a scale to see how much we weigh, toys weighed and even some of our friends took shoes off to see how much they weighed.

For math we sorted blocks by shape and color.

In the sensory table we used legos and kinetic sand. Pressing the legos into the sand to make different shapes and imprints. 

Dramatic play we added household "cleaning items", vacuums, mops and brooms. Our friends loved to clean up.

A favorite this week had to be the doll house.
